Historical Perspective

Linear perspective had to be discovered/invented by Brunelleschi around 1415.

The western musical style of tonal harmony wasn’t around until 1600-ish.

The first recorded usage of the word “orange” as a color in the English language wasn’t until 1502.

These systems are inescapable to day-to-day life in the US today, but they’re relatively new in concept.

What systems of seeing and hearing could we invent today that will feel inevitable tomorrow?
