Cat at the Keyboard
I was literally typing out ideas of obstacles and meaning. Exclusivity, how strategic inconvenience (Supreme’s in-store scarcity, Equinox not allowing gym signups in January) builds more story, creating meaning through some kind of friction—
—when a purring cat tromped across my keyboard and sat on it.
No marketing quite so effective as a threat. “Pet me or else the computer gets it. You have no other option.”
So I’d better get to doing that.
