Endless Iteration

The visible light spectrum may be capped between 380 to 750 nanometers, and I’m sure printable pigments are even more limited. Heck, our perception of different colors based on the naming conventions of the English language may limit that even further.

But just when you think you’ve finally exhausted all possible options, you’ll find more. Every detail decision is a spiral fractal branching into infinity.

I’m finding this on a current project with flavor depiction. Even though the illustration style is quite tight, there are so many angles and positions to play with, different ways it can interact with typography, ways to dial in its color.

Blessed be the decisive.
